What is SUPARTIFY?

How did it start?
How did it go?
How did it end and what is next?
How did it start?
The idea started in my workplace, it was triggered when I was working on a team project to standardize some internal procedures for troubleshooting and solving IT problems. I had the initiative to lead this project because I noticed that each technical support engineer has a different approach to solve an IT problem.
When it comes to finding the cause of an issue, sometimes a chaotic method is used, by looking here and there and doing randoms test and some other times a predefined procedure is used following some steps. While in some other cases, possible causes can be determined just by simply observing the symptoms and the behaviors. There is no wrong or correct method to use, but when the effectiveness and productivity are considered, the used method counts.
I had an idea and I wanted to promote it via the most used means in our time, the internet. This is how I decided to start the blog.
How did it go?
As Guy Kawasaki, the Entrepreneur and Alltop Co-Founder, said"Ideas are easy. Implementation is hard." . My ideas were triggered upon interaction with daily issues at work. However, when I wanted to implement them, I had to deal with several challenges: starting from myself, as it was difficult to make decisions, to solving the technical part of the site design.
Choosing the name of the website :
I have always believed that technical support or technical problem-solving is an art or a talent. To master it, one should learn, practice daily and keep learning.
I thought of a name, in a way that it should include the 2 meaningful words: Support and Art. So, I came out with this SUPARTIFY—the art of a technical support engineer, the art of providing technical support or simply artify the support.
Choosing the colors and the logo of the website:
I had spent a lot a time thinking what color I should choose for my site, considering the fact that it has to be unique. I looked for some combinations of colors over the internet, but I did not get any inspiration. I needed to think creatively.
Then I remembered I read once a book: The Art Of Creative Thinking by John Adair. This book taught me how to be creative and how to get inspired by things around us to build new ideas. In this book, a quote was mentioned "God hides things from us by putting them near us" originally said by RALPH WALDO EMERSON.
I was looking around me but nothing was inspiring until a pigeon landed at the window of my apartment. The pigeon was all gray with some few feathers on its back with red cinnamon color. It was a sign I should use these 2 colors.
The pigeon, actually saved me the time to think about what concept I should use for the site logo, and decided to include the pigeon in the logo of the site.
Choosing the content :
Since I already know what to share with my readers, it was not hard to decide what content to include and talk about in my blog. I will be focusing on sharing my experience, my knowledge, my diaries, and my perspective as a technical support engineer.
Designing the site:
The main challenge I was facing was how to build the site. Luckily, there are plenty of platforms that offer these services. I didn't have to do any coding, but simply understood how the platform works and do drag and drop.
The struggle was about the limitation in the design options of the blog, but as long as it can print my ideas in an interactive way, it will be enough.
How did it end and what is next?
Now since you are already reading this, it means the going live part wasn't a failure, I still have other things to improve in the site and add more interesting topics to it.
I hope you will enjoy and learn good practices from it through my blog.
Thank you for reading, and don't forget to subscribe to my blog to stay tuned!
